Opening a product, and the date range
- Click an ASIN on Monitored Products, either analysis page, a report or a results grid, or go to
/product-monitoring/database/analysis/<ASIN>/. - The date range is the last 7 days unless you pick another: a ready-made range from the dropdown, or a range of your own. It sets the pincode figures, the trend charts and the change arrows; its last day counts in full.
- The product header (images, title, price, badges, rank, seller) is always the latest reading, whatever the range.
- A competitor's ASIN opens too. Where it has no pincode readings of its own, the product it is mapped to stands in.
The top of Product Analysis, drawn with sample data.
- The date range.
- The product header: the latest reading.
- Seven key figures.
- Four tabs: Overview, Pincode Performance, Competitor Comparison and Events.
The product header
- Price, MRP, discount, rating, reviews, bought in the past month, stock and deal come from the latest reading. A value it lacks is taken from the most recent monitoring report, then from the product database.
- Deal is the deal's own name when Amazon gives one; any other deal badge reads "Limited time deal".
- Seller is the Buy Box seller of the latest detail reading.
- BSR lists every category the product is ranked in, with its rank.
Stat cards
Seven cards sit under the header. The first three are delivery, from the product's pincode readings in the date range; Price, Rating and Reviews are the listing, with their change over the range; Impact score reads its rank.
These cards are figures only: unlike the analysis pages' cards, clicking them opens no list. The pincode readings behind the first three are on the Pincode Performance tab.
Avg delivery
How many days Amazon promises, on average, across every pincode check of the product in the date range: each check counts on its own, not only the latest. Readings with no day count (non-serviceable, no delivery date) are left out.
Avg delivery = sum of days ÷ readings with days
- Line under it
- Always "Across monitored pincodes". The result has one decimal place; each reading counts in whole days.
- Example
- 161 readings with days, adding up to 281 days: 281 ÷ 161 = 1.7 days.
Coverage
The share of the product's mapped pincodes that were checked in the range. A pincode counts once it has any reading, deliverable or not.
Coverage = pincodes read in the range ÷ pincodes mapped to the product × 100
- Line under it
- Always "Of monitored pincodes". Rounded to a whole percent; it can pass 100% when readings exist for pincodes since taken off the product.
- Colour
- Green from 90%, amber from 50%, red below 50%.
- Example
- 23 of 25 mapped pincodes were read: 23 ÷ 25 × 100 = 92%, green.
Pincodes
Distinct pincodes with at least one reading of the product in the range, deliverable or not.
Pincodes = distinct pincodes read in the range
- Line under it
- Mapped: the pincodes listed on the product in Manage Product Data.
Price
The price at the last monitoring reading in the range, or the latest listing's price when the range has none.
Change % = (price now − price before the range) ÷ price before × 100
- Line under it
- The change against the last reading before the range began, to one decimal place. "No change to show" when there is no earlier reading.
- Colour
- A drop is green and a rise red: a lower price is good news for a buyer.
- Example
- ₹549 before the range, ₹529 now: (529 − 549) ÷ 549 × 100 = −3.6%.
Rating
The rating at the last monitoring reading in the range, or the latest listing's.
Change % = (rating now − rating before the range) ÷ rating before × 100
- Line under it
- As for Price: the change against the last reading before the range.
- Colour
- A rise is green and a fall red.
- Example
- 4.3 before the range, 4.4 now: (4.4 − 4.3) ÷ 4.3 × 100 = 2.3%.
Reviews
The review count at the last monitoring reading in the range, or the latest listing's. A count written like "1.2K" is read as 1,200.
Change % = (reviews now − reviews before the range) ÷ reviews before × 100
- Line under it
- As for Price: the change against the last reading before the range.
- Colour
- A rise is green and a fall red.
- Example
- 1,268 before the range, 1,284 now: (1,284 − 1,268) ÷ 1,268 × 100 = 1.3%.
Impact score
A score out of 100 set by the product's main Best Sellers Rank, the first rank listed.
Rank under 100 → 98Rank 100 to 999 → 85Rank 1,000 to 9,999 → 70Rank 10,000 to 99,999 → 50Rank 100,000 or more → 30No rank → 50
- Line under it
- The band the score falls in: Healthy from 80, Watch from 50, At risk below 50.
- Colour
- Green when Healthy, amber for Watch, red when At risk.
- Example
- Ranked #7,328 in Home & Kitchen, between 1,000 and 9,999: 70 out of 100, Watch.
Overview tab
The Overview tab, drawn with sample data.
- Delivery speed: every reading of the range by its days.
- Coverage by City, or the Slowest Pincodes.
- Competitor ranking by average delivery days.
| Card | How it is worked out |
|---|---|
| Delivery speed | Every pincode reading in the range by its days: Same Day (0), 1 Day, 2 Days, 3 Days, 4+ Days. A slice is its share of the readings with days, and lists its pincodes with how often each fell in it. |
| Coverage by City | Cities ranked by how many of their pincodes had a reading with days; the top 5, each with the average days of its readings. |
| Slowest Pincodes | Each pincode's average days across its readings; the 5 slowest. |
| Competitor ranking | You and each mapped competitor by average delivery days, fastest first; the top 3. A competitor's average uses its own pincode readings in the range, and its coverage is its pincodes read ÷ your mapped pincodes. |
Avg delivery and these charts count every check in the range. Pincode Analysis uses each pincode's latest reading and compares only same-day readings, so its figures for the same product can differ.
Historical trends
Four charts plot every monitoring reading of the product in the range, one point per reading:
- Price: the price, the MRP and the discount.
- BSR: one line per category the product is ranked in. A lower line is a better rank.
- Rating & reviews: the rating and the review count.
- Tags: whether each reading carried Prime, a deal, Best Seller and Amazon's Choice.
Pincode Performance tab
Current pincode status, drawn with sample data.
- Export the table to Excel.
- Your days at each pincode, coloured against the fastest competitor there.
- Each competitor's days at the same pincode.
- Click a pincode for its history, check by check.
- Current pincode status has one row per pincode, yours and your competitors'. Each cell is the latest stored reading at that pincode, when it was updated within the range.
- Your cell is green when you are faster than the fastest competitor there, red when you are slower, and plain when you are level or there is nothing to compare.
- Click a pincode for its history: every check in the range, job by job, you and each competitor side by side, as a table and a chart.
- Export Excel downloads the table as shown.
Competitor Comparison tab
Your product beside each mapped competitor, attribute by attribute, each from its latest reading: image, title, price, M.R.P., discount, rating, reviews, bought in the past month, stock status, BSR, tags, resource count (images and videos), category and seller.
Competitors are the ASINs mapped to the product in Manage Product Data.
Events tab
How many times each part of the listing changed in the date range, one card per field of the Monitored report: title, price, M.R.P., discount, rating, reviews, bought, stock, listing status, deal, BSR, seller, resources (images and videos) and other sellers.
- A change is a reading that shows a different value from the reading before it. The first reading of the range is compared with the last one before it, so a change on the first day counts.
- Values are compared as the page shows them: a rating read as 4 and as 4.0, or the same picture served from another Amazon address or at another size, is not a change.
- Click a card for its table: when it changed, the value before and after, by how much, the job that read it and the reading it was compared with. Click the card again, or the cross, to close it.
- The readings are the ones Product History lists, and its table colours exactly these changes: green for a rise or any other change, red for a fall or a value that went away.
